What is work ?

Work is done when a force displaces an object.
If a force is applied to an object and it is not displaced then no work is done.
i.e
If you push a broken down car and it does not move No Work Is Done, you may feel tired if you try this for 10 minutes, but according to the definition of work none has been done.
