Airmanship

Only practiced over selected fields or airfields.
HASELL Checks.
500 ft rule.
Check for obstacles on the approach or go-around paths
If student is capable, a flare power recovery may be appropriate, if not a go-around at 500ft is necessary.

Pre Flight Briefing

Types of Terrain / Surface Options for choice of best landing areas.

Flat Grass or Concrete are Good.
Muddy or Rocky Surfaces are bad.

Practice forced landing procedure

Enter autorotation.
Select Field (5Ss).
Mayday, while height allows.
Forced Landing Checks / Attempt Restart.
Aim to land 3/4 way into the field.
