London Helicopter Centres need a JAA CPL(H) with FI(H) rating from 1st August 2011 onwards on a permanent basis, the role will be based at Redhill near Gatwick.

Must be R22 qualified , ideally with R44, H269, EC120 and AS350 type ratings as the position will involve some charter work.

The company also operates AS355 and EC135 so there may be some P2 opportunities for those with appropriate qualifications.

Helicopter Tactics Instructors

Alpha Aviation has been selected to deliver tactics training to helicopter crews from across the European Defence Agency, to be delivered through AgustaWestland. This has resulted in a number of additional positions to be filled to bolster the existing instructional team, with positions available from March 2011. The 2-year contract position(s) come with a very competitive salary including profit-share scheme, 25 days annual leave, with instruction to be delivered Mon-Fri based at a new simulator facility at Dishforth. The project will involve instructing crews with a wide range of seniority / rank and nationalities, and therefore applicants will need a demonstrable record of tact as well as raw instructional expertise.

Essential:

* QHI / QHCI / QHTI or with considerable experience in the training / mentoring of military helicopter aircrew.
* Significant (and ideally recent) operational experience, with experience in Iraq and / or Afghanistan preferred.
* Applicants must have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom.

Desirable:

* Mi-8/17 experience.
* Experience in training / mentoring / operating with multi-national aircrew.

Entry Requirements

• A current professional pilot with at least 10 years of experience in helicopter operations;
• A minimum of 2,500 flying hours in multi-engine helicopters;
• Experience in a multi-role operational helicopter unit, which should include a wide range of Search and Rescue (SAR), Support Helicopter (SH), and Night Vision Goggles (NVG) experience;
• Military Flying experience;
• Must be a holder of a valid International Civil Aviation Organisation's Airline Transport Pilots Licence (Helicopter) with Instrument Rating at the time of formal appointment; and
• A valid and current aircraft Type Rating for the Super Puma AS332 and / or the EC155 will be an advantage.

Duties

• Carry out the duties of a line pilot in the full range of GFS operational duties by day and night as Captain on both AS332 L2 and EC155B1 helicopters; and
• Provide expert advice and assistance in the review and updating of the Operations Manuals, with particular focus on the operating techniques and procedures for certain specialized roles, including tactical flying, NVG and other SH operations.
