Strange thing to have on a helicopter web site some people may say. I look at it this way, If further accidents can be prevented by the promotion of safety through the dissemination of accident reports then I will do whatever is possible to make them easily and centrally available to everyone.

This page is a structured collection of links to various bulletins on national authority accident investigation sites, news reports and forum discussions. The narratives for each incident / accident are merely to aid identification and no opinion on the cause of the accident is inferred by this.

As the database of entries is being compiled it will enable us to produce some figures to show accident trends.

If you know of a reported incident which is not listed here please email the URL and I will do some research and incorporate it as soon as possible.

There are four ways to find an entry in the accident database

• The Accident Search Form
  Search the database by use of a simple form. Search results are displayed as a list which links to detailed information for each accident.
• The Accident Calendar
  The calendar defaults to all accidents in the current year and by using the Quick Filter the results can be narrowed down and displayed on the calendar. Clicking in a calendar day will display all accidents on that day in a list.
• The Accident Statistics Pages
• Use the Quick Filter Tool on this page.

There are a few known duplicates in the database, and these will be filtered out in due course, they are however left in the database at the moment as they represent inconsistencies in some of the national accident investigation data. These inconsistencies will be notified to the authorities and automatically filtered out in the near future.
